Well, we've been waiting months and finally July brought us "June."
She is nuts, absolutely nuts, but her cuteness completely outweighs her craziness so that makes it all right! No worries, Thomas and I have committed to not becoming, as Andrea calls it, dog nutty. However, I do have boast for a moment on her remarkable skills:
Potty outside - Check
Sit - Check
Stay - Check
Come here - Check
Shake - Check
Only 2 months old and she is already a rockstar! Now, let's take a quick peak at the areas that touch on a different type of "remarkable." They (whoever they are) say a picture is worth a thousand words..
This is June's response to the leash... we go for a drag more than a walk!
Other responses are as follows:
Drop it - No, I don't think so.
No biting - Hmm... how serious are you and maybe I'll consider it.
Go get it - Go get what? Oh... did you mean come to you and sit?
Go eat - No thanks, Thomas already gave me 75 treats
Now to go deep... The thing I love about having a pup is the reality check that there is living thing that depends on me for its well-being and happiness . I know June is not a human being or anything, but having her has pulled things into perspective for me. It's made me realize that the sacrifice that one makes to be "successful" is really not worth it, and there are, in fact, several things that should not be done "today" and should be put off until tomorrow. I know what you are thinking, "she is dog nutty," and now that I am reading what I wrote, maybe I am a little! No... no, I'm not... this is good stuff right here!
Anyways, I spend a lot more time with Thomas now and I actually cook more because I am at home and life is substantially slower - HALLELUJAH!
Well, this is all the update I have energy for tonight. I seriously think blogging must be easier for all you committed bloggers out there. It took me like 30 minutes just to upload the photos! Although, I did know how to move them around this time - thank you, Lauren!
